France is one of the world’s largest countries and economies. It is the world’s fifth-largest economy by GDP and Europe’s second-largest economy, trailing only Germany, which is Europe’s first-largest economy. In 2015, it was home to 31 of the world’s 500 largest corporations. It is ranked fourth in the Fortune 500 global rankings, behind the United States, China, and Japan. As a result, it is a place for students who want to obtain true global experience while studying in any university in France and grow as individuals with a positive outlook on life.
France is the world’s most popular tourist destination. Many people like visiting the unique country for a variety of reasons, including its natural beauty, wonderful climate, outdoor leisure activities such as golf courses, art museums and galleries, and so much more. There are a variety of activities that describe the country’s history and are enjoyable for visitors, especially given the country’s stormy past.
FRANCE FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF STUDENTS
The French government subsidises a portion of the tuition charge. The cost of a programme ranges from 10,000 to 20,000 euros for the entire term. In the United States, Australia, Canada, and the United Kingdom, similar ranking schools charge roughly 30000 Euro. It provides free French language classes. In the corporate sector, French is the second most often used language. Many institutions provide 2-4 week international trips that include an industrial component. Strong multicultural environments and a global perspective Typically, programmes last between one and two years.
FRANCE'S EDUCATION SYSTEM
The French educational system is divided into several phases, including nursery, primary, secondary, and university education. France’s education system has a long history of being one of the greatest in the world, with a national curriculum, conventional learning techniques, and high academic standards accompanied by strong discipline.
The authority of the teacher is emphasised in French educational philosophy. Individual competition with a strict grading system (no ‘on the curve’ grading). The emphasis is on analytical thought and rote learning rather than creativity. Academic standards are generally high. Children in France are not always expected to have ‘fun’ at school. Sports and creative activities are promoted; however, they are usually organised by community or private organisations rather than by schools.
HIGHER EDUCATION
France is known for its strong postgraduate education programmes. Those looking to study for a postgraduate programme in Europe frequently seek to France. International students like the country, and the postgraduate programmes available in France are among the best in the world. All of France’s educational institutions are highly regarded, and anyone who enrols in one of these programmes will learn a great deal, often leading to success in their future endeavours.
There are two types of higher education institutions: Grand Ecoles and Petites Ecoles (they are more prestigious, highly competitive selection system). Universities in France offer two types of postgraduate programmes:
MAs/MSCs/MEngs are taught masters. There are assessments, project tasks, assignments, and final exams that are given throughout the academic year, as opposed to one time in India. Paid Internships for Masters Programs are available for 4-6 months.
