STUDY IN
NEW ZEALAND

OVERVIEW

New Zealand is known for its laid-back lifestyle, picturesque attractions that are no less than a beautiful shot with an XLR camera, and a lifestyle that is unlike any other in the globe. Many migrants (students and working professionals) have made New Zealand their home and are successfully supporting themselves and their families while also contributing to the country’s economy.

It has an agrarian economy (dairy and tourism are the people’s major economic pursuits) and is heavily reliant on foreign trade with countries such as Australia, China, the United States, the European Union, and Japan. Australia and China are the two main trading partners. It does have a sizable service sector that contributes significantly to New Zealand’s GDP. New Zealand gives the information and communication technology (ICT) and tourism industries a lot of attention and effort, particularly with the goal of improving New Zealand’s image.

NEW ZEALAND'S EDUCATION SYSTEM

It is unquestionably one of the best in the world and is based on British education. There are three levels of education: 1) primary and intermediate schools, 2) secondary schools, and 3) tertiary education in polytechnics or universities. The academic year runs from early February to late November on average. New Zealand has one of the best-funded public educational systems in the world, with the largest percentage of public investment in education.

Higher education is extremely essential, and we shall go over it in further detail in our sections on higher education systems. There are eight universities in the country, as well as 18 technical institutions and more than 600 training courses for specific skills. According to the QS World Top 500 rankings, five New Zealand institutions are ranked among the top 50 universities in the world. New Zealand is known for its world-class schools in business, technology, engineering, medicine, and biological sciences. For permanent residents of New Zealand, the higher education programme is sponsored by the government.

“Schools in New Zealand are excellent.” “There aren’t many people in New Zealand.” “New Zealand is not overly pricey.” “New Zealand is a welcoming nation.” “The beaches in New Zealand are fantastic.” “New Zealand is a fantastic diving destination” and “New Zealand is a fantastic skiing destination.” “New Zealand is a clean, green country.”

Despite the fact that New Zealand is the same size as Japan or the United Kingdom, there are numerous reasons to select New Zealand for further study or higher education.

NEW ZEALAND FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF STUDENTS

It’s a lovely, clean country with plenty of fresh air and interesting locations to visit. There are so many wide green places, and it’s a lovely environment. It’s as though you’re living in a painting. The professors here are fantastic; they genuinely care about you and are there to answer any questions you may have. The lecturers are really helpful, and there is a sizable international student community, particularly among Indians. Kiwis are incredibly kind; they greet newcomers and make life here a joy. Aside from studying, I do a lot of other things. I go on walks, ride my bike, and socialise with my pals. It’s a great place to call home.

ASSESSMENT OF EDUCATION

The friendly and welcoming nature of the Irish people contributes to the ease with which international students adjust to the Irish way of life, particularly student life. The sections below address a variety of topics that you should be aware of before deciding to visit Ireland, as well as when you arrive and while you are here.

CLIMATE

Climate is very mild and doesn’t get uncomfortably hot or cold with four distinct seasons.

Autumn — March, April, May.

Winter — June, July (coldest month), August — 10 to 15 degrees.

THE APPLICATION PROCESS FOR STUDENT VISAS TO NEW ZEALAND

To apply to either a Polytechnic or a University, have all of your academics (say, 10th, 12th, or Bachelors), your passport, and proof of English competency (IELTS, PTE, or TOEFL) ready.

Apply to the school of your choosing, and the offer letter will normally arrive in one week. When a student receives an offer letter, he or she must arrange for the finances and annual income to be included in the visa file that will be submitted to Immigration New Zealand.

Education loan from a nationalised bank, personal loan for the purpose of education, fixed deposits, savings account balance, provident fund, postal savings, and sponsorship from immediate and extended family members are all examples of acceptable proof of finances.

You can provide documentation of your family’s income in the form of a salary, business income, rental income, agriculture income, or commission money.

Students must next go to the Regional Passport Office or Passport Seva Kendram for a health checkup and get a Police Clearance Certificate.

Prepare the visa applications and a statement of purpose that explains why you want to study in New Zealand and what your long-term goals are for investing in New Zealand education and the like.

A DD in the name of the Ministry of Business, Innovation, and Employment, as well as a DD in the name of TT Services, must be used to pay the visa fee.

INZ typically assesses your application in 3 to 4 weeks, and if everything is true and legitimate, a student is granted clearance in principle (AIP).

After receiving AIP from INZ, the student must pay ANZ Bank in New Zealand one year’s tuition and, if necessary, one year’s living expenses.

Send the AIP conditions to INZ, and they’ll normally send the passport endorsed with the final visa to the consultant in 5 days. One month prior to the start of the course, a student can normally go to New Zealand.
